Information
Information | Cape Chignecto Provincial Park offers a spectacular experience of Nova Scotia's coastline and wilderness. There are multiple hiking options with a range in difficulty rating. Fundy Ridge Trail is a five kilometre hike, and can be completed in approximately three to four hours. Hikers will travel through an old-growth forest ecosystem and experience breathtaking views of Advocate Bay. The trail descends at McGahey Brook with steps to the beach. It is about a one kilometre hike back along the shore (take note that a high tide may delay the return trip). Group campsites (hike-in) and hike-in/walk-in sites are available near this trail. There are several camping options at Cape Chignecto; 28 walk-in sites, 41 back-country sites, sea kayaking accessible sites and wilderness cabins and bunkhouses are available. Reservations can be arranged online, or by calling 1-888-544-3434 from within North America, or 519-826-5301 from outside of North America. There are no drive up sites available at this park.
