Information

Information Five Islands Provincial Park is one of Nova Scotia's premiere outdoor destinations, offering spectacular views, overnight camping sites, and hiking opportunities. A walk to Red Head, at the far eastern corner of Five Islands Provincial Park, takes you to weathered sandstone cliffs formed from ancient sand dunes blown by the arid winds of the Fundy rift valley during the Dinosaur era. Red Head is part of the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark
 
Length: 2.2 km one-way  
Permitted uses: hiking, cross-country skiing (not groomed) 
Trail surface: gravel 
Rating: moderate difficulty 
 
Directions:  
Access to the trail can be found at Route 2 to Five Islands Provincial Park, south onto Bentley Branch Road (park road). The trail starts at upper campground loop. 
 
Other hiking trails in the park include the Economy Mountain Trail and Estuary Trail.
