Information

Information November 2022 - Yellow Birch Trail is now open. Volunteers have cleared the trail after Hurricane Fiona. This trail is part of the Gully Lake Trail System of wilderness hiking trails. Hikers are advised to read and consider the Cobequid Eco-Trails Society's Trail Users' Checklist before heading into the Gully Lake Wilderness Area. The Yellow Birch Trail is a 0.85 km one-way (linear) soil footpath leading to some of the other trails in the system. Access this trail directly from the Kemptown Road trail head/parking lot. It is a great short hike or a connector to longer routes. It follows through a hardwood forest with wild flowers, mosses, lichens and bridges across small brooks.
